New Customers

New Water Customers to the City of New Boston will need:

  • US Government/State type official Issued Photo ID
  • Copy of Lease or Closing Paperwork to show you are authorized to get water at the address you are requesting
  • $100 Deposit and $40 Non Refundable Service Fee - $140 Total


Payment Options

The City of New Boston offers a variety of convenient payment options for our residents. Simply choose the option that best suits your needs.

Payment By Mail

If paying by check or money order through the mail, please send all payments with your payment coupon. To avoid late fees, please mail your payment at least five-seven business days before the due date specified on your bill.

Pay Online & Pay by Phone- NOW AVAILABLE!

We have partnered with Nexbillpay to extend an additional payment option for customers interested in using their check, debit card or credit card to pay their bill. Nexbillpay is a trusted third-party automated payment service that allows you to pay your bill online.

If you are too delinquent on your Water Bill, you will have to come to City Hall to pay the bill and any late fees. (Nexbillpay will not function for you)

What is the service fee?

Nexbillpay charges a small service fee to cover payment handling and all processing charges. Service fee will be calculated and disclosed prior to finishing your payment.

Does the City of New Boston Water keep any part of the service fee?

New Boston Water does not keep any part of the Nexbillpay service fee. Nexbillpay is a separate entity providing a service for all the customers of New Boston Water.

How do I use this service?

Customers will need the following to pay their bill:

  1. The account number (located on your billing statement).
  2. Your payment method: check, debit card or credit card.
  3. Click the red button to begin the process or call (855) 782-2061 for the automated system.

Automatic Bank Draft

The worry-free way to pay your bill. With this service, the amount of your monthly bill is automatically deducted from your bank account and credited to your utility account. There is no set-up fee or charge associated with this method of payment. To set up Automated Bank Draft, simply download and fill out the ACH Recurring Debit Form (if available) located below and drop it off or mail it to our office, along with a voided check.

Payment Drop-off Location

You may pay your bill in person at our office address. We accept cash, check, or money orders. To avoid longer wait times, please note that Mondays, Fridays and the first day after a holiday are normally very busy.

Payment Through Financial Institution Online Bill Pay

Many financial institutions such as major banks offer their customers the ability to pay their bills via an online bill payment service (through your bank's website). Normally, these services debit the customer's checking or savings account to pay the bill. Depending on the financial institution, they may or may not charge a fee for the service. Payments may take up to seven business days to post to the customer's account. Please consult with your bank for more information.

Inside City Limits: WATER RATES

  • Residential Customers: $13.56 for the first 1,500 gallons, then $8.43 per 1,000 gallons thereafter
  • Commercial Customers: $12.30 for the first 1,500 gallons, then $10.68 per 1,000 gallons thereafter

Inside City Limits: SEWER RATES

  • Residential Customers: $8.50 for the first 5,000 gallons, then $5.36 per 1,000 gallons thereafter
  • Commercial Customers: $9.00 for the first 5,500 gallons, then $7.19 per 1,000 gallons thereafter

Outside City Limits: WATER RATES

  • Residential Customers: $17.83 for the first 1,500 gallons, then $9.24 per 1,000 gallons thereafter
  • Commercial Customers: $12.30 for the first 1,500 gallons, then $10.68 per 1,000 gallons thereafter
  • Telford Prison: $7.97 per 1,000 gallons

Outside City Limits: SEWER RATES

  • Residential Customers: $8.50 for the first 5,000 gallons, then $5.36 per 1,000 gallons thereafter
  • Commercial Customers: $9.00 for the first 5,500 gallons, then $7.19 per 1,000 gallons thereafter
  • Residential Sewer Only: Flat Rate of $12.50
  • Commercial Sewer Only: Flat Rate of $100.00
  • Telford Prison: $4.05 per 1,000 gallons
