Planning & Zoning

The Planning & Zoning Commission reviews proposed amendments to zoning ordinances, petitions for annexation, site plans and plat applications, and also makes recommendations to the Council regarding the current and future development of the City of New Boston.

Commission Members are: Catherine Lyles; Frank Buchanan; Alonzo Ellis, Jr.; Jacob Stephens & Tim Graham.

Building Permits & Inspections

The Building Permits and Inspections Department will strive to assist you with your construction project in an efficient and accountable manner. They are responsible for permitting all construction and conducting inspections of all construction-related permits as well as issuance of Certificates of Occupancy.

Code Compliance

The City of New Boston is responsible for protecting our community's health, safety and welfare through effective enforcement of city codes and ordinances.

The goal of the Code Compliance Division is to provide information to all interested parties and to fairly and efficiently enforce the City of New Boston Code and Ordinances.
